We loved #LTNY. It was great to better learn the disaster and backup needs of firms across the States.

    Network Health and Utilization Overview
With gMon, you can view the overall health of your network as well as drill down to packet level detail using our easy to navigate point and click web based interface. You’ll have access to monitor details such as:

    • Network performance indicators, such as bandwidth utilization, packet loss, latency, errors, discards, and quality of service for any SNMP-enabled devices
    • Disk space, CPU load, and memory utilization on network devices
    • Performance monitoring and analysis of network elements

    User Community Thwack Integration
Augment the built-in capabilities of gMon with this assistance of a global community of network engineers at Thwack, the SolarWinds online community, directly through your gMon interface. Thwack is a community website that provides gMon customers with useful information, tools and valuable resources. By deploying gMon and using Thwack, you’ll be joining a community of more than 16,000 network engineers who can help make your job easier. Having the power of thousands of engineers behind you brings many benefits, especially when it comes to sharing resources.  On Thwack, Orion customers share everything from custom reports, custom alerts, and custom views to application monitoring templates.

    VMware Virtualization Monitoring
gMon communicates directly with VMware ESX Servers to determine how the host ESX Server is performing and to gauge the health of individual virtual machines. gMon reads host MIB information from each VMware ESX Server and its corresponding virtual machines, detailing statistics such as CPU and memory utilization, disk usage, guest OS, network usage, and much more. By monitoring specific virtual resources, gMon can alert you to a virtual machine that is using excessive CPU resources or is approaching its allocated memory limit. This enables you to ensure that applications are performing well and that the virtual and physical resources on the server are optimized.

    • Monitor VMware® ESX host servers and guest virtual machine instances
    • Track virtual machine (VM) availability and performance, including key metrics such as CPU, memory, disk space, and network bandwidth
    • Monitor key VirtualCenter statistics to ensure that your virtualization environment is running smoothly
    • Automatically discover, identify, and monitor new virtual machines added to any VMware ESX Server
    • Leverage out-of-the-box VM reports
    • Maintain VM performance using built-in alerts to receive instant notification of VM-related issues

    VMware VirtualCenter Monitoring
In addition to monitoring VMware ESX Servers and the associated virtual machines, gMon also monitors key performance statistics on the VMware VirtualCenter Server. Gaining insight into the performance and availability of VirtualCenter is a critical component to ensuring that your virtualization environment is running smoothly.
