Gregory R. Tellone, Chief Executive Officer at Continuity Centers, is a well-known entrepreneur, speaker and disaster recovery expert in the New York area, whose illustrious career spans over twenty years in the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) field. Continuity Centers, headquartered in Woodbury, NY, is a provider of flexible business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.
Mr. Tellone started his disaster recovery career in 1991 at Cheyenne Software as a Technical Support and Quality Assurance engineer for their flagship tape backup software product, ARCserve, building his recovery expertise in Netware, OS/2 and Windows NT. He continued building upon his recovery experience at McKinsey & Company where he managed their world-wide frame relay network and disaster recovery plan, as a customer of IBM Recovery Services.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Tellone has focused his energies on building a business that provides cost effective business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for businesses of all sizes. He also serves as Executive Chair of Chapters for the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE), a professional association dedicated to providing an open exchange of information related to business continuity and crisis/emergency management. As Executive Chair of Chapters and Vendor Relations for the CPE, Mr. Tellone works closely with the board to increase membership and bring enhanced value to all CPE members.
Mr. Tellone is frequently recognized in BDCR industry trade publications and is invited to speak at information technology and BCDR events and seminars throughout the country. His charitable endeavors span several non-profit organizations, among them being a featured boxer in the 2004 Long Island Fight for Charity event. In his leisure time, Mr. Tellone is an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist, with a passion for passing on these traditions to his children and those who don’t have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
